Get Organized in 2010

Keep a "donation" hamper in your closet or laundry room. Every month look for clothes your family doesn't wear anymore and  place them in the hamper. When it's full, take the clothes to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. Get the kids involved by asking them for their help in selecting what to donate as well as bringing the items to the thrift shop.

Look for a new tip on getting organized next month.

New Equipment = More Fun and Faster Learning

TDSIt's called the "Teardrop" and will aid in teaching back handsprings and front hand springs to our gymnasts and tumblers. It really speeds up the learning process for both of those skills. The most difficult aspect of teaching a back handspring is getting the gymnast to jump backwards and not upwards. The unique concave shape of the Teardrop encourages students to jump directly back and not up.  The tail of the Teardrop helps gymnasts initiate the snap-down phase by directing their lower body through the proper positions. Patti's All-American is dedicated to supplying all our students with the newest and most innovative equipment out there. We know how important a job our teachers have and we want to give them the proper tools to ensure fun and learning.

Go to  www.pattisallamerican.com to check out our schedules and class information. Remember, we offer a discount on second classes and sibling classes and you can register and pay for classes online.

"Begin Here - Go Anywhere"

KerriKailey Willhelm was born eight weeks premature and weighed just 3 lbs., 5 oz. During the first few years of her life, she developed well mentally, but had some physical problems. She still was not running at age 4, so her pediatrician recommended that her parents put her in a gymnastics class to improve her gross motor skills.

At her gym in Connersville, Ind., Kailey ran after just a few months then performed her first back handspring in less than one year. Now 17 years old and in her 11th year at Gymnastics Unlimited in Indianapolis, Ind., Kailey is a Level 9 gymnast and a Level 3 coach. Gymnastics helped Kailey go from premie to powerhouse!
