Amy took gymnastic lessons at Shirley’s in Crown Point for eight years and here at Patti’s for six years. She was hired originally in 1991 and was employed for eight years during her high school and college years. After receiving a  B.A. in Elementary Education degree from Purdue University Calumet and teaching second and fourth grades for five years she decided to return as a gymnastics teacher. She also created the Gym-N-Learn Program, a fitness-based, educational preschool. Amy is certified in American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED. She also is certified by USA Gymnastics in Preschool Fundamentals, Kinder Accreditation for Teachers, and is Safety Certified. She has also attended various early childhood conferences throughout her career.
